Ultrasound 3D-Printing Tumor Burning

YAML Idea

Use 3D data guided ultrasound point of resonance to heat (brun) the tumors.

This is a speculative idea. Tumors usually exhibit higher rates of metabolism than normal tissue, and that is the rationale behind PET scan.

In 2011 TEDMED, surgeon Yoav Medan shared a technique that uses MRI to find trouble spots and focused ultrasound to heat the human internal organ tissue to ~60'C, with specific precise location targeting.

Assuming that we can image the precise tumor location with a PET scan, it is conceivable that we could control the ultrasound point of concentration like a 3D printer head, burning out the cancer tissue in specific regions of human body.
