This reminds me of a short story of a device that can see any space and at any time that has passed.

It's by Isaac Asimov and it's called The Dead Past.

There's even a Wikipedia page of the idea.

Ideas are meant to be articulated solutions, not raw streams of consciousness, reflections about or personal notes about it...

// [what are the new lists? in transitus and beyond?]

Ideas are not supposed to be questions: please, read the rules.

At the section "my process" you seem to describe something that could be an idea, if it were made into a subject and explained.

Right now, your "idea" looks like an unfinished sequence of thoughts without a hint at what is the key proposition here.

What are you proposing? What is the claim of the idea?

There was a version of Infinity with prizes for "Problems", i.e., each problem working like a fund, where people put incentives. However, technically, each fund is a "company", so, ontologically, it belongs to be a feature of a "project". To realize such feature in proper ontological fashion, would be linking many companies (i.e.., "Projects") to a single problem (just like there are many non-profit organizations working towards a single problem). These "Projects" (orgs) then can work as funds for the problem. However, we already allow to link multiple projects to a single problem (concept/puzzle). This implies, that this feature of funding problems could be realized by adding a type "is fund" to projects, and adding appropriate logic in the level of problems (concepts/puzzle), that allows users to allocate funds to the problem via the projects that are funds for them.

I like the idea of using accounting systems for effects. Use accounting technology to account for effects of causes. We exist in a cause and effect universe. If someone causes someone else's success they should get rewarded for it. So your teachers deserve some thing for what they caused for you.

[reply]

I like the biblical referencing system. We refer to scripture to acknowledge a fact or justify a behaviour or law.

Each verse is numbered and there are chapters to each book and where there is more than one book we prefix the book number at the beginning.

So a reference looks like 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Universities research fields have different referencing schemes.

Intellectual property is also a thing. You're arguing we should respect others intellectual property and all things caused by someone.

[reply]

It occurred to me that if I could place a bounty in an infinity puzzle or idea that would encourage people to start projects based on them.

[reply]

ago @ Work interface

It's practically the same thing except there needs to be some form of information system to collect desired results. Infinity family is kind of that system already as if doesn't define how work should be done.

I also want other people to implement things I've created on infinity family. I don't impose how they should solve the problem only that they produce it. So I want scalable computing to be easy and spread out computation and data storage maybe backed by a CRDT.

Thinking of periodicity of sending signals: probably median orbital period of planets within habitable zones divided by a number between 6 and 12 could be a good start. This is assuming that most technological civilizations will have evolved hand-like limbs, which had from 3 to 6 fingers each, and likely used them as reference base for counting and dividing their year (orbital period) into this number of parts in the reference base.

// We're all influenced by others

Exactly: "I am formed by interaction with others. They create me as I create them." - Rei Ayanami (Neon Genesis Evangelion/NGE) forkability // You only need to look at software engineering cloned apps and websites to see people's attitudes to this.

So, the problem remains -- how to credit properly, so that banking system cares who says what? Should there exist a tag, that lets people on-line associate those who inspired with what they write, in a machine-readable form? Traceable fork-ability and multi-inheritability of everything, so that ideas can "have sex" in more ways? Other things?

You only need to look at software engineering cloned apps and websites to see people's attitudes to this. You would think that people capable of programming would credit. But they will say their app is a clone of something else.

ago @ Empowering Humans to Think and Decide

If someone thinks of thinking as talking, then you can think of thinking as query creation.

You explore a thought and you use the word "as".

So imagine people being networked and communication being links between people. Combine people into a fully linked lattice and you have a resilient communication.

This is an "as" thought - seeing one thing as another thing.

From here we rely on modus ponens, modus tollens and abductive and inductive and deductive reasoning to isolate effects or meaning of our thinking.

People need to get good at query creation to think better.

When I created fact collector I could reason over arbitrary facts using a logic programming language prolog. I created a rule that was if someone I liked doesn't like me then I am to be cautious of them. This rule was represented as

Inference and(likes(sam, X), +(likes(X, sam))).",

Where + means "not".

If you can think of good queries you can think effectively. Generate what if questions. There is an abundance of data that could be used to cause people to be happier live more meaningful purposeful existences

ago @ Sentience of Companies and their Ownership/Trade Rights

Once a company is set up it doesn't really need owners anymore. You could say that owners take investment away from the company that could grow in scale and size without owners taking profits out the company.

I use the example of a supermarket logistics network. Once the people are all placed and people know what they are doing and doing it, the organisation operates without oversight. The managers don't need to do anything for the shelf stackers to keep stacking shelves and the procurement department to procure products. The owners may well be irrelevant to the success of the operation of the company.

Yet the cashiers still mange the ownership of the owners ownership of products in the store. They could well do their job without owners. They essentially do all the work and get none of the benefits of ownership.

Yes.

Rather than encountering that advert for 3d printed vitamin gummies on Facebook or the 10th crypto investment company or flavoured water bottle flavourer on Facebook you can have people communicate with you what you desire.

So these people need to understand you. They specialise in your wants and needs.

Linux has DBus for generic interprocess communication and gconf-editor a registry like editor uses Dbus to interrogate available configuration keys.

Page normalisation will be a problem for on screen information. Would need to clean up data before piping to cross referencing systems.

[reply]

chronological

ago @ Window/tab merge

Of course, this needs someone to learn to parse arbitrary page information into reasonably informative tabular form. I had come up with a format, namely, "metaformat" to represent such arbitrary data source ontological normalizations, that could work well to represent a training set for a machine learning task to create such model that does such tabularization automatically. However, without such ML model, we would have to have humans write parsers and ontologically normalize each page, which is prohibitively time-consuming.

[reply]

Mindey

ago @ Window/tab merge

I suspect it could all be generated lazily. Each tab provides an API for data access and retrieval which maps to the site and what's on screen. The browser would also provide some namespaces for history and downloads and historical page content.

[reply]

It's more there are people and software who act as a funnel of things that reach you so yes they do filter but that's not their primary function. Their primary function is to find things you definitely need or want or like.

[reply]

I see this taking off. Is it like spam filters, but for all ads (not just email messages)?

Additionally, the idea of those agents knowing ranges of products (not all products in all world's comapnies) makes sense as well, as this would prevent from attention agent monopolies.

Is everyone familiar with windows file management Explorer? Or Finder on Mac.

On windows file management is easy. We need a generic object interfacer for databases.

Search, filtering, move, copy, cross reference search by example. We need all these things for every website.

such method we use with [malü] between ogiziu and Instinto Creador projects for the past month, and it helped us truly to evolve together!

we typically connect for 1 hour on a video call and each of us share:

1) what each of us did last week,

2) what each of us will do next,

3) any obsctales or challenges.

anyone would like to connect in oo community calls this way?

Hey, friends! I have a new project name - OGIZIU (instead of KOKONO). The name change came out from my experiences this winter, balancing the darkness with the light and a concept I'm working on about the black holes (to be shared).

ogiziu means "wow, see!" in Lithuanian, used in moments of a surprise, awe, when something is observed, understood. in fact, it's a short sentence of 2 words: "ogi" is a pause moment and "ziu" is an understanding moment. when you pronounce it, it works like a breath!

I share the details and progress with this project on Miro.

Although in the past 10 years I did 16P test and in both I came out as an ENFP. (I lived in a super social culture back then though - Ireland!)

RE collaborations, I think it's not just a personality match but more so - interests during a specific time: who is working on similar things right now and how people can help each others specifically.
